Dash & Gauge dummy up. 13/02/11

Dash set up version 1. Trying out a few options. Blue panel is the orginal petrol tank. I had cut out the centre section to fit the brake booster behind it. The brake booster fitted ok but the problem I had was the the guages woulnt fit back in because the booster was in the way. I cant move the booster so I have to try something else.

Trying different spots for the tacho and fuel pressure guage.
Dash set up version 2. Cardboard template with speedo mounted in the centre. This would have worked and would have fixed the lack of space problem by clearing the brake booster all together. Only problem is that it is to low and I would have to look down to see the speedo. It also didnt look right.
Dash set up version 3. This was how it was all going to work. Speedo on the far right. Tacho hanging low on the steering column. Water temp & Fuel guage mounted low. Since then I have bought a speedo that will sit on top of the steering column. Dash fascia will be alloy checker plate. Oil & Fuel pressure guages will be mounted on the outside of the cabin. See below.
Not 100% happy with this mounting bracket.
